What is Thai Massage?
“Thai Massage is the healing art of giving from two warm hands and one heart. “
Thai massage is a therapeutic treatment originating in Thailand.
It is a combination of acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures.
Energy Blockage Relief
Our organ systems communicate using electrical signals sometimes referred to as Prana, Sen, or Chi. Over time the electrical pathways become blocked due to factors including toxins in the environment, poor health habits or drug consumption.
When the nervous system is not able to communicate effectively because of blockages, larger issues develop including pain, knots, poor digestion, headaches, stiffness and low energy levels. To maintain health, the body’s energy channels need to flow freely and blockages removed. Thai massage is one method used to promote natural healing by releasing energy blockages. When life force can flow freely through the body, natural healing will occur and health will be restored.
Bioelectricity Keeps Us Healthy
Our nervous system communicates using electricity, commonly called Prana, Sen, or Chi. The electrical currents run along the body in over 72,000 pathways or nadi channels. It’s how the brain and organ systems communicate. When prana flows freely through the body, natural healing will occur. Many of the calories we consume become electrical energy. If you sit quietly in meditation, you may feel the energy flowing within your body.
Thai massage focuses on creating a balance of energy flow within the body. Our left body side channels are feminine and negatively charged Our right body side channels are masculine and positively charged.
Physical illnesses manifest when these two sides are out of balance. The body needs both charges to complete polarity and during Thai massage, both the giver’s hands are on the recipient to create a full electrical loop.
Blockages within these channels are a primary focus of Thai massage.
